Helen is an ex-newspaper journalist from Somerset who has been working for Viva! for two years – throwing herself into the cause from many directions – firstly as editor of Viva!’s magazine, Viva!life and pining down regular regional and national media coverage for Viva! and VVF’s campaigns, as press officer. Working closely with Jane Easton, Viva!’s consultant cookery queen, Helen has also turned her hand to developing and photographing delicious new vegan recipes and hosting lively cookery demos.

Sophie has enjoyed being a voluntary speaker and cookery demonstrator for the Vegetarian Society and Viva! for over 15 years. As a hospitable mum she enjoys devising vegan dishes to win over even the pickiest meat-eating guests of all ages. Sophie helps businesses to cater better for vegetarians, vegans and special diets, including ski chalet companies through Veggie Snow and anyone catering for special diets using specialguests.co.uk. She's a co-founder of Thames Valley Veggies open social group, as well as of www.activeg.org - the site with the most comprehensive and up-to-date animal and veggie news on the internet.
